The book I read was called Freakonomics and it was a very
interesting book to read. There was this one chapter that stood out to me which
was the last chapter, chapter 6 which was talking about how we name our kids.
This chapter stood out to men because i did not agree with the author thought
and facts in this chapter. The author states that name are choosing based on
how much money you made or where you live. I felt that this chapter wasn't
right because I feel that people choose their babies name on how they feel or
what they feel the child should be called after or before their child is born.
I don't think it depends on how much you make or what race you are when it
comes to naming a person. The chapter that inspired the richest discussion in
your book group was also chapter 6 because everyone had a very strong opinion
on how they felt people name their kids.it was hale thought that the chapter
hit the point very well and was accurate on their information. But, they also
agreed with me and my point on how they wrote that chapter. After reading this
book my interest in some of their topics didn't peek but it in lighted more on
the subject. Would I recommend this book to anyone else, no just based off of
how I felt reading this book I felt it was a lot of stereotyping in this book
as well as some real facts.
